Udon Thani – The Portal of the city full of fire
Udon Thani, Udon also known simply, is a province of northern Thailand near the border Laos and gateway to Laos via the Friendship Bridge in Nong Khai. It is the capital, also called Udon Thani. Most Thais refer to him as Udon.
It is not known in relation to foreigners until the Vietnam War, when U.S. together to establish a military base. This database has been returned to Thailand that was part of the agreement, while the U.S. has granted permission to establish the base.

The best restaurants West, with a little shopping for the best, can be found in the Shopping Complex Charoen. There is also a good night bazaar, near the station train. Shares purchased in the bazaar of the night usually starts around 5:00 pm ET ends around 10:30.

This area is the real part of Issan Issan. Wherever you go, you can count to see a thing. rice farms. Everywhere you look, you see the rice fields. This is the great industry in this area Thailand and is also the region most famous rice whioch Thai sticky grown.
Tours in and around the area include:
* Ban Chiang – This is widely regarded as the finding most important archaeological past in almost all of South Asia. The findings, from 1967, here goes back to the Bronze Age, and artifacts that have been made here as early as 4400 BC. It is one of the best museums in Thailand and is considered a must when you visit Udon Thani.
* Udon Thani Museum – this museum collections goes back to the founding of Udon Thani, and includes a wealth of historical information.
Orchid Farm Udon Sol * – This is one of Thailand's finest collections common and rare orchids. A stop here is a must if you are passionate about orchids and worthwhile stop even if you're not. Some of the flowers beautiful you will ever see can be found here.
Phu Foi Lom * – This is an important ecotourism site, located in the Pa-Phan Don Pakhoed National Forest.
There are also several caves, waterfalls, rapids, and other historic sites to visit.
Local food products include Chinese sausage called Kun Chiang, moo yong, a bristle brush, moo ho, which is steamed and pork moo Naem, a sweet and sour pork product.
If you want to enter Laos through Friendship Bridge in Nong Khai cost of the visa on arrival is U.S. foreign $ 35 and entitles you to 30 days in Laos You must have two passport photos available.
