Everyone has a birthstone, and jewels of birth is a serious and unique gift for those who like to use your personal stone.
Traditionally, each month of the year is a gemstone associated with it. Where did the custom? Encyclopedia Britannica states that "supernatural powers has long been attributed by astrologers to certain gemstones. The use of jewelry associated with an anniversary that is believed to bring good luck and health. "
Another theory is that the tradition of Birthstones arose from the Breastplate of Aaron: a ceremonial religious garment set with twelve gemstones representing the twelve tribes Israel and also correspond to the twelve signs of the zodiac and the twelve months of the year.
Whatever the reason, the beautiful rings, necklaces, earrings and pins in the 12 traditional birth stones have been valued and used for hundreds years.
Here are the traditional stones for each month of the year:

Like amethyst, citrine is a variety of quartz, and heat, along with gold, adding a touch of bright color to a piece of jewelry. Like all varieties of quartz, citrine was thought to have magical powers.
December: To complete the year of Birthstones, December stone is blue topaz. With its bright colors range from bright blue, blue topaz has been used in fine jewelry thousands of years. An alternative gemstone for December is Turquoise. Prized by Native Americans, and a basic feature in silver jewelry, turquoise, comes in shades of green Aqua Blue.
