Just where exactly did this sweet and adorable toy dog, the Japanese Chin originate? As many of our breeds of dogs, there are several theories to remind that the history of this toy dog breed.
There is much evidence that the Japanese Chin dogs back who arrived in Japan as precious gifts from China and Korea more 1100 years ago. The Japanese Chin is one of the oldest breeds of dogs.
The exact history of the Japanese Chin is difficult to determine, however, evidence that the end of the first century AD, the Chinese had a type of dog known as "Pai". Canine breed authorities say the "Pai" was a very small, short head and short legs. One canine breed writer, Collier, indicates that there is little doubt that the Japanese race of small dogs originated from China. Is a fact that trade and association between the two countries date back to the fifth century. During the period of Tein Wu Ti (673-686 AD) and Tung Chih Ti (690-696 AD), Korea and China consistently small pet dogs in Japan.
As many of our toy dog breeds there are various theories about the origin of the chin Japanese. Some suggest that come from Korea and that a Korean prince went to Japan taking gifts for the Mikado in 732. The gifts include small dogs nose flat that resemble today's Japanese Chin. In those days they were called Shoku-Ken. They were definitely different from that of the dogs at that time Japan was the type of Spitz.
Another theory of the origin of our Japanese Chin states that as soon after 520 BC, Buddish monks took Shoku-Ken from China to Japan when went to preach as missionaries. The dogs were said to be a symbol of the sacred Lion of Buddha.
Other people believe the Japanese Chin were of the Ch'in Imperial supposedly originated in China. The Imperial Ch'in dogs owned only Chinese royalty. This seems to be the case for many of our small dogs pure race. We are so happy now that not only the rich have access and the companion dog of pure breed.
He said that the last Empress of China kept 50 of these dogs in the throne room. When the Empress entered the room story goes that these puppies in a row from the door to the throne, standing on its hind legs and a reverence to where it was. In particular, I would add that the author of this article is about my little Danny Boy, who is not Japanese Chin, but is Shih Tzu. Of all the Shih Tzu I have owned, he is the one who stands on his hind legs before me. Danny and I are very, very close. I if this is a feature inherited from the Imperial line of dogs in China. None of my other Shih Tzu presents this character. I thought I was asking for something. He does very often and it seems that only standing on its hind legs like a human and his front legs are like arms and hands Rights. He is so cute, I love seeing this little trick in my Danny Boy. I also wonder if the small dogs that belong to the last Empress of China lined up from door to throne, standing on its hind legs was out of "respect, love and honor for her. "
It has been said, however, that because the Japanese Chin is not the easiest of dogs to train, the idea that 50 of they doing this to perfect harmony was a bit much to believe. ……. And only one of me, everything I had, he did. Incidentally, my Danny Boy received no training for this. The only real different is my relationship with Danny Boy. It's my favorite of all time Shih Tzu I have owned and have many ways told him this. Just a trait I think is pretty bad, but it is dangerous for him. He sees himself as rough and tough and likes to try to prove that all dogs, big and small. In repeated I sometimes rescue, which can add to the beauty and love our relationship. He stands on his feet when I'm around because I suppose in his mind, I am his "Empress."
Another parent of the imperial Qin China were Chinese Temple Dog, the Japanese Spaniel, the Pekingese and the Chow. Resemble each yes in my opinion.
With everything we know about the Japanese Chin today I believe it is reasonable to assume that at least in the beginning was a race of this. Also know that the early days of the Japanese Chin were spent with people of nobility or very high rank and were considered as very useful and valuable. It is my opinion that are and "Precious," which seems to glow from the faces of the Japanese Chin the result of some pampering and adoration. The Japanese Chin is a delightful small toy poodle companion for us today, and is still considered valuable and precious for all who truly love this breed.
