If you are planning a trip to Japan, can not be the goal of learning the language so he can talk fluently, but you may want to learn a few key phrases for help you cope. It's a good idea to learn at least a few sentences, since English is not very widespread in Japan, especially if you go outside the major cities. In this article, you will learn some key phrases to help you be able to say a few words while in Japan or even telling his Japanese friends.
Japanese is a phonetic language to learn the pronunciation of the language is not really that difficult. There is no exception to the rule as in English, if you learn to pronounce the syllables of the base, you will be able to easily put together words and phrases. Do not try to learn the writing system, but I look for a guide to pronunciation in English, as I will show you.
The first phrase to learn is "thank you. In Japanese it Arigatou. If you are broken down into syllables and sounds, it becomes Ri-Ah-GAH-toh. You need not try to say quickly, only to investigate and will sound good.
Next try "Hello" and "Farewell" that are "Konnichi wa" and "Sayonara". Bonjour is touted as Kohn-Nee-Chee-wa and often as Sigh-Oh-Na-Ra.
Remember that 'yes' and 'No', which is "Hai" and "ERA." Hai "is pronounced like Hello, and N Ee-EH.
Finally, "Forgiveness" is a word we hear a lot in a country as polite as Japan. The Japanese word for "excuse me is" Sumimasen 'and is projected as Sue-Mee-Mah-Sen

Focusing primarily on a new guesthouse in California, this elegant volume shows how a classic Japanese house can be built to offer the warmth and comfort that modern homemakers require. Len Brackett, rigorously trained as a temple carpenter in Kyoto, has spent decades adapting the ancient Japanese design aesthetic to Western needs. Here he demonstrates step-by-step how both the traditional live-on-the-floor house, as well as models that accommodate furniture, can be constructed to provide such modern essentials as central heating, insulation, computerized lighting systems, and the latest electronics. The Art of Japanese Sword Polishing $29.69 Japanese swords have long been prized for their aesthetic beauty as well as their functional properties. As polishing plays a vital role in determining the sword’s final shape and appearance, an understanding of the polisher’s art is essential for anyone interested in this unique weapon. FROM CHAPTER ONE To understand Japanese sword polishing is to understand the Japanese sword. Down through the years, the great sword connoisseurs in Japan have been sword polishers. A swordsmith can spend a large amount of time forging a classic sword, but refining and bringing out its final shape, color, and texture so that all the details of the steel and hamon (the temper line) are clearly visible is the responsibility of another craftsman the sword polisher. The Art of Japanese Sword Polishing is the first book in English to examine in great detail the polisher’s techniques, for which they may apprentice for as long as ten years. It illustrates the methods, materials, and tools used for this process. But the book’s true aim is to bring to readers an appreciation of the beauty of a well-crafted Japanese sword. As readers learn both how the sword polisher enhances the beauty of a blade and how he handles the problems of coaxing out its finest qualities through his polishing techniques, they will come to a higher understanding of the fine art of making a Japanese sword, and be able to view, purchase, or collect swords with greater pleasure. |
